Justin Dunn

Queensland Architect BArch (Hons) MArch

Queensland Architect, Justin Dunn’s work is informed by a strong understanding of subtropical living and the relationship between climate, environment and built form. Having grown up in Brisbane, his approach is intuitive, responsive and closely attuned to place, resulting in architecture that engages naturally with its setting.

He brings particular insight into how homes perform within subtropical conditions, with a focus on light, ventilation, shade and the seamless connection between interior and exterior space. This understanding shapes environments that feel open, breathable and closely connected to landscape.

His experience spans bespoke residential architecture and multi-residential projects across Queensland and broader Australian contexts. In each project, he contributes to outcomes that are both carefully considered and grounded in their environmental and cultural setting.

Within the studio, Justin supports the development of design responses that prioritise liveability and climate responsiveness. His work reinforces a design approach that values simplicity, spatial clarity and a strong relationship to outdoor living.

Across residential projects in Brisbane and beyond, his contribution reflects a broader studio commitment to architecture that is site-sensitive, climate-aware and deeply connected to the way people live in subtropical environments.
