Often, our design approach is a response to contex

Often, our design approach is a response to contextual constraints. Edges, heights, history…But sometimes it’s not, like here with Amby.

Sometimes there aren’t any site constraints, we don’t have edges, neighbours or surrounding architecture to sit within. The options can be almost overwhelming.

The exploration starts from a more grounded, simple place, understanding the landscape & noting natural landmarks, orientation and topography. Entirely liberating & altogether challenging in a very different way.
