Justin joined ABA late in 2020 and since then has passionately enjoyed the array of diverse and unique qualities of each project he’s been involved in. We describe Justin as a safe pair of hands to nurture and care for each project from concept to completion through a highly considered approach that balances the beauty of form, craft and materials, with function, sustainability and resilience. Great care is taken to approach each project without preconceived ideas of form or style and instead focus on responding to the unique qualities of each site and project brief.

Justin believes high quality design can occur with any budget and is highly motivated to always find the opportunities for delight in any brief. The ‘why’ to any project brief is an important aspect to Justin’s approach. Justin first seeks to understand the driving force behind each aspect of the brief to unlock the full potential of every project and deliver a tailored solution that is purposeful and meaningful, and that works in harmony with the occupant’s daily lives.

Prior to joining ABA, Justin has had the privilege of working at award winning practices on an array of project scales and types across Queensland including boutique multi-residential, high-rise towers, and masterplanning. His previous experience working on large scale projects equipped Justin with the knowledge of working at an urban scale with a human centred focus, which continues to translate into his current work at ABA. Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending his time outdoors and has a keen interest in mountain biking, hiking and photography.
